(Atlanta, GA) -- The IRS is sounding alarm bells over a massive scam that's making the rounds just ahead of the April 15th tax deadline.
The Treasury Department says at least 20,000 fraudulent calls have been reported from nearly every state.
Victims are told they owe taxes and must pay by wire transfer or a pre-paid debit card, something the IRS says it will never do. Victims have paid about one-million dollars to the crooks.
