Few College Graduates Expect Lengthy Run With First Job

(Oklahoma City, OK)  --  Most college graduates don't expect to find career stability right away.  Nearly three-quarters of the respondents in Express Employment Professionals' "America Employed" poll say they believe the average run for a graduate's first job is less than a year.

Sixteen-percent think most grads move on within three to six months.  Only 26-percent believe those just starting their career typically stay for over a year with the company that hired them right out of school.

Express Employment Professionals CEO Bob Funk says the findings show a lack of commitment among recent grads.  But he adds that in the results also indicate graduates aren't often able to land a job they truly want as soon as they finish their education.
