Woman Dies on Flight Bound for Sky Harbor

 

PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities in Phoenix say a passenger died Wednesday on a US Airways flight to Phoenix from Honolulu.

Fire Capt. Benjamin Santillan says the passenger was a woman in her 50s. Santillan says woman lost consciousness while the plane was in the air.

He says she had no pulse and was pronounced dead by responders after the plane arrived at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.

Sky Harbor spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez says the flight was US Airways 693. It left Honolulu Tuesday night and arrived in Phoenix shortly after 7 a.m.

US Airway's merger partner, American Airlines, did not immediately respond to inquiries.
